SCBA Replacement Cushions
New NFPA Requirements
NFPA is now mandating that SCBA's be carried outside of the Cab. The Reasoning? It is NFPA's considered opinion that fire ground chemicals infiltrate the Cab of Apparatus by taking an SCBA and your Turnout Gear which has been used in an Active Fire Incident and returning it to the enclosed Cab. Whereby firefighters are unwittingly exposed to secondhand inhalation hazards.
Inadvertent Problem
Most all Apparatus have SCBA Seats installed, without the SCBA in the Seat back sitting in this seat is extremely uncomfortable to say the least. Removal and replacement of SCBA's seats is out of the financial realm of most departments.

AFA's contract suppliers have created the SCBA Insert Cushion, a soft padded replacement cushion to fill the gap of the SCBA. It was easy to find a place for the SCBA elsewhere, and now your back will thank you for filling the gap!
